Launch Pad Production Studio Tour

Hello World,

Today, we want to take you on a tour of our incredible recording studio with a list of all of our equipment and gear. Enjoy!

 Control Room:

What we love about it - It's a great size for recording guitar, bass, and keys all at the same time, without be feeling like your sitting in our engineer's lap.

Live Room:

What we love about it - Because of its unique layout, this room has windows that can see into the Control Room as well as the Vocal Booth.  This way, your drummer can actually see everyone else!

Vocal Booth

What we love about it -  This room is great, cozy size for recording vocals and can also be used for recording multiple guitar parts simultaneously.  (Bonus: Makes for great photos to upload to your band's social media pages!)

Daniel Eltzroth - Photographer / Videographer

Hello World,

This week, we're introducing our Photographer, Daniel Eltzroth. We have two Daniels here at Launch Pad, so we call this Daniel "Puddles" to help with he confusion.  For more information for photography/videography, head over to www.launchpadproduction.com !

1. What are you currently listening to on your iPod/Spotify list?
I'm currently listening to A Day To Remember radio on Pandora, more steered towards pop punk. When I feel like getting frisky I switch it up to my 3OH3 station.

2.  What is the single best concert you've been to?

The single best concert would have to be seeing Taking Back Sunday with Anberlin.

3. What is your favorite part of (your specific role in this company)?
Shooting music videos would have to be my favorite. Taking an artists' song and turning it into a visual thing.

4. What got you in to (your specific role in this company)?

I have always loved media, films, and editing. So, I always knew that I wanted to do something with video. Then, I got the opportunity to tour with a band called State Your Cause, and I found that I loved music and concerts. After that, I had to do something involving video and music.

5. Who would you like to emulate in your role? / Who is your favorite at what you do?
I really don't have anyone I try and emulate. I don't typically study specific videographers or photographers. I like to use styles from movies in both my video work and photography. I don't really have one particular person. I'm more of a fan of certain techniques and styles of videography and photography.

6. Where are you from?
I'm from a tiny town Hillsboro, Ohio. I grew up on 85 acres of wilderness.

7. Where did you graduate college? Do you have a degree in (your specific role in this company)?

I graduated from Cincinnati State in Cincinnati, Ohio. I have an associates degree in audio video production.

8. The great debate - Dogs? or Cats?

Dogs. I feel like I don't even have to say anything else. Just Dogs.

9. If you could be any super hero, who would you want to be and why?

If I could be any hero, I would be Batman. I mean, first he is Bruce Wayne. Who is just awesome in general. Second, Batman has all of his fast cars and gadgets. Batman also has the best super villains of any other hero.

Hope you enjoyed meeting Puddles.  See you next week!

Ambroise Catherine - Graphic Design

 Hi World,

We're continuing our interviews with our team this week with Ambroise "Frenchy" Catherine.  Ambroise is our incredibly talented Graphic Designer who is eager to help you come up with your next album cover art, merchandise concept, or flyer to promote your show. (Also, he created our awesome avatars.)

1. What are you currently listening to on your iPod/Spotify list?
Sam Smith, Mormon Tabernacle Choir and Daft Punk.

2.  What is the single best concert you've been to?
Plus44 in Paris, France. It was small and crowded and sweaty.

3. What is your favorite part of your specific role in this company?
I make designs. I love creating things from scratch. When someone talks to me about a CD cover or a site banner or an illustration they want, I have ideas flowing in my head, and I love that part of the process when crazy thing battle in my brain, and I can almost see the insane mayhem of colors and shape take place in front of me.

4. What got you in to your specific role in this company?
My charming accent definitely played a roll...also im good.

5. Who would you like to emulate in your roll? / Who is your favorite at what you do?
Comic books are 99% of what influenced me. I grew up reading French comic books like “Gaston Lagaffe” and “Le Petit Spirou.” These very particular graphic styles work so well for what they intend to communicate, which is funny stuff. The biggest influence I felt was however from Tarquin. He draws Lanfeust ( if you read French, I definitely recommend it). He has a very dynamic, yet clean style with various textures and complex compositions. I still read my “Lanfeust” comic books today.

6. Where are you from?
I am from the beautiful center of Europe( the true Europe not the 25 country nonsense of nowadays). France the magnificent. Allons enfants de la patriiiiieee le jour de gloire est arrivé !

7. Where did you graduate college? Do you have a degree in your specific role in this company?
I studied a couple years at the University of Caen Basse-Normandie and two semesters at MTSU. I have an equivalent of a Bachelor’s Degree in Graphic Design and Communication.

8. The great debate - Dogs? or Cats?
Cats are nasty and smell like pee. Dogs are beautiful and smell like family.

9. If you could be any super hero, who would you want to be and why?
Obviously, I would be Dr. Manhattan from Watchmen. First his powers are intense. He can bend matter, no big deal, teleport, see his own future, visit other dimensions ( I recommend "Before Watchmen" about Dr. Manhattan). At one point he even creates life. He is also extremely interesting because he doesn’t have the usual interests of other heroes, like saving people and doing what is right. The more time passes, the more he can’t be bothered with the fatz of mankind, which he considered insignificant. This man, through acquiring huge powers, lost his humanity in the process. Superman would lose a fight in a half of a second against Dr. Manhattan.

10. Is there any other tid-bit you'd like us all to know??
Mormon. That is all.

Thanks Frenchy!

Julia Grimoldi - Web/EPK/Social Media Consultant

Here at Launch Pad Production, we want you to know who we are. So, Rachel forced asked us to answer some interview questions so that you can get to know us better. After all, it’s more fun working with people you know. Today, we're starting with Julia, our Web, EPK, and Social Media consultant. We hope you enjoy her wit as much as we do!

1. What are you currently listening to on your iPod/Spotify list?

I'm pretty much always listening to music in one way or another. I
usually prefer putting things on shuffle and going about my day, but
my favorite Spotify playlist is called"Girl Group Heaven" and features
(surprise) the awesome girl groups from the 60s. The last two songs I
listened to on my iPod were "Don't Make Me A Target" by Spoon and
"White Wedding" by Billy Idol. I also have two CDs in my car: Titus
Andronicus' "The Monitor" and Beyoncé's "4". Variety is the spice of
life, etc.

2.  What is the single best concert you've been to?

Radiohead in 2008 while they were touring for In Rainbows. It was a

ridiculously good setlist, I was there with a ton of my friends, and
we couldn't believe that we were actually seeing a band we borderline
worshipped for the first time ever. It was an unbelievably good time.

3. What is your favorite part of your specific role in this company?

I'm one of those nerds who loves editing and writing and I love that I
have the chance to do that for others with Launch Pad! I also love
social media and it's amazing that I live in a time when artists are
able to reach their fans just by typing to them.

4. What got you in to your specific role in this company?

I have a background in digital marketing through social media for
artists and spearheaded a large project involving EPKs for a student
organization I was involved in during college. Also, I volunteered
myself when Rachel mentioned Launch Pad was going to branch into EPKs
and she and Daniel were nice enough to bring me on!

5. Who would you like to emulate in your role? / Who is your favorite
at what you do?

I'm not familiar with anyone who gets to be lucky enough to do this
for a living full-time, but I admire anyone who is able to make people
understand what an artist has to offer from only their words without
even hearing the music yet.

6. Where are you from?

Saint Louis, Missouri, home of the best ribs and a completely made-up

kind of cheese.

7. Where did you graduate college? Do you have a degree in your
specific role in this company?

I graduated from Middle Tennessee State University in 2012 with a
degree in the Recording Industry and a concentration in Music
Business.

8. The great debate - Dogs? or Cats?

Dogs. Always dogs. All the dogs.

9. If you could be any super hero, who would you want to be and why?

My favorite superhero is and always will be Spider-Man, because he's

just a regular person with regular problems who suddenly is forced to
deal with having not-so-regular powers and issues. But I wouldn't be
upset about being Squirrel Girl either, because she's defeated Thanos
and Dr. Doom and a ton of other characters by herself and a pack of
squirrels and that's badass in every single way.

10. Is there any other tid-bit you'd like us all to know?

I quote Seinfeld a lot.

Hope you enjoyed getting to know Julia!

Sincerely,

Launch Pad Production

Who We Are, What We Do

Launch Pad Production began when Daniel Drake of CVC Productions teamed up with graphic designer Ambroise Catherine, and photographer Daniel Eltzroth to create a one-stop shop for all of your media needs. Getting your music out there can be hard. Between recording, photo shoots, and merchandise, it can get expensive and confusing as to who to choose to help you express your artistic view. Our focus is to provide a product that is at industry standard without breaking your bank. We specialize in recording, photography and graphic design and also have consultants that can help you with your web/epks, social media accounts, merchandise, and copyright needs. At Launch Pad Production, we love music, and we want talented people to be heard and seen, even when their budget says otherwise.  Let us launch you to your full potential.

Sincerely,
